Ikenobo Headquarters selected a theme for each month in 2023 and 2024 to challenge students to create arrangements and submit the pictures for possible publication in The Ikenobo, Ikebana Lesson Magazine,  published in Kyoto, Japan with worldwide circulation among members of the Ikenobo School.  Some examples of themes are using dried materials, New Year Arrangements, using roses, and using household materials
Some members of our group took the challenge. So far three members from our study group submitted entries and all three were selected to be published.
