FOUNDER MARGARET KURASAKI
Margaret was introduced to beautiful Japanese flower arrangement by her mother, who used to display her work in their home. She started her study of Ikenobo ikebana when she was a university student in Tokyo, Japan. Upon her return to the United States, she continued her study of ikebana in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2020, she graduated from the Ikenobo Chuo Kenshyu Gakuin (Central Training Institute) an intensive set of classes offered for teachers in Kyoto, Japan. She is the only Japanese American in the San Francisco Bay Area to graduate from the Institute. She speaks English and Japanese and currently teaches in San Mateo and Cupertino.

代表の紹介
私は美しい日本の生け花を母から教えられました。母はいつも生け花を家に飾っていました。 その影響で、私は東京の大学に留学中、池坊の生け花のお稽古を始めました。米国に帰国後もサンフランシスコのベイエリアで生け花を学び続け、その後、生徒を指導しながら、講師を対象とした池坊中央研修学院特別科でも学び、現在に至るまで自身の研鑽を続けています。
教室
英語と日本語により、サンマテオとクパチーノにて指導。
略歴
日本留学中に池坊会員となる。
米国帰国後、約40年間北加支部在籍。その間、英語の書記、会計、並びに支部長を歴任。
2018年 北加支部55周年の総合責任者を務める。
また、北加支部におけるサンフランシスコ開催の数多くのワークショップにおいて長年に渡り日本からの派遣講師の通訳を務める。
2020年 池坊中央研修学院特別科修了。同研修学院特別科を修了した唯一のサンフランシスコ・ベイエリアの日系アメリカ人である。
