During the 2022 Japanese Festival in Santa Cruz, just before our ikebana demonstration, someone at the Buddhist Zen Center handed us a vase. They said it would be better used in our hands. It looked like it was being used as a candle stand. Since then, we have taken turns arranging flowers in it.
